Luminaria is an enchanting mile walk through a shimmering holiday world in Ashton Gardens. At the Grand Allee, 8,000 programmable luminarias carpet a sweeping hill, where each luminaria acts as a pixel in a moving picture of blooming poinsettias, flying reindeer, and beautiful symbols of the season. This display is capped by a 120-foot light tree atop a 40-foot-tall hill.
A quieter experience leads guests to view a nativity scene before entering the new Light of the World Garden. The Light of the World garden features 35-monument size bronze sculptures depicting scenes of Jesus Christ from the New Testament. The path is lit with 900 glowing lanterns and features peaceful music for a reflective experience.
Guests continue through the sights, sounds, and tastes of the season. Throughout the journey, touches like peppermint-scented mulch and s’mores at fire pits permeate the festive atmosphere. Interactive areas offer games and entertainment for kids to be kids (and adults to act like kids). Sip hot chocolate and sweet treats while you stroll a gift boutique.
Luminaria promises to fill your need for something new and exciting, but it is also sure to become a treasured tradition for years to come. Many events are limited in nature, so advance purchase is strongly recommended.
