Surround yourself with the magic and beauty of the holiday season as the Indianapolis Zoo hosts its 49th year of Christmas at the Zoo presented by Donatos and Teachers Credit Union. The Zoo opens at noon during Christmas at the Zoo.
Dating back to 1967, the Indianapolis Zoo was the first zoo in the United States to hold a holiday lights event, and since then, Christmas at the Zoo has become known for its spectacular holiday lights and displays. Christmas at the Zoo is a great place to make holiday memories!
This year’s event is bigger than ever with more lights, extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays and the all-new Santa’s Village. Under the Bicentennial Pavilion, this whimsical town invites guests to decorate cookies in Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen, encounter wintertime animals, see mementos from Santa’s world travels and meet the Jolly Ol’ Elf himself inside his charming study.
